David W. Kirch, Founding Partner
Mr. Kirch is the founding and managing partner of Kirch Rounds & Bowman PC and has focused his practice on estate planning, probate, trust administration, and probate litigation for more than 40 years.
Kirch Rounds & Bowman PC was named a Tier 1 firm in Colorado Metro Rankings for both Trusts and Estates Law and Elder Law by U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” for 2026.
Mr. Kirch has served as a lecturer on trusts and estates at the University of Denver Law School. He earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from California Lutheran College and his J.D. degree from the University of Colorado, where he was a member of The Order of the Coif. Since 1998, he has been co-editor of the Estate and Trust Forum of the Colorado Lawyer and is also a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
Mr. Kirch is a past chairman of both the Trust and Estate Section and the Statutory Revisions Committee of the Probate and Trust Section of the Colorado Bar Association. From 2009 to 2019, he served as liaison between the Real Estate Section and the Trust and Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association.
He is listed in the 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for Elder Law and Trusts and Estates and was recognized in the 2025 edition of Super Lawyers Magazine for Estate Planning and Probate.
